Visa Regulations for Australian Citizens for Turkey Travel| Turkey Visa application form| eVisaNation
Turkish Authorities have released the
notice that from 10 April 2014 visa on arrival facility is suspended.
Australians traveling to Turkey as a visitor or for business should fill out
the Turkey Visa application form. All other visa categories
should be petitioned through your nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate. There
is no difference in the prerequisite for all Australian passport owners to have
an authorized visa. Any issues relating to Turkish visas should be asked to
your nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate.
From 1 February 2012, the Turkish
administration enforced new laws allowing a maximum stay of only 90 days within
180 days for visitors. This does not alter the visa regulations for journeys to
Turkey but it will influence how long foreigners (including Australian
citizens) can continue in Turkey.
The Turkish authorities have been
instructed by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) that foreign citizens
who arrive in Turkey on a visitor visa are now able to get a residency permit
for recreation objectives for a maximum period of six months by submitting a
form at the General Directorate of Migration Management (İçişleri Bakanlığı Göç
İdaresi Genel Müdürlüğü) in Turkey.
The Turkish Government has instructed that
from 1 January 2015, travelers visiting Turkey must carry a passport with at
least 60 days of existence beyond the last date of their visa or residence
permit.
